My professional background combines education, military service, law enforcement, and more than three decades of judicial experience. I completed a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and pursued graduate-level coursework toward a master’s degree, providing a strong academic foundation in law, public administration, and the justice system. I also bring prior military experience, which instilled discipline, leadership, and a deep respect for public service.

My law enforcement career includes service with the Harker Heights Police Department and the Bell County Sheriff’s Office, where I gained firsthand experience in public safety, criminal law, and working directly with the community. For the past 31 years, I have served as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1 in Bell County. In this role, I have been responsible for managing budgets, overseeing court operations, interpreting and applying state and local laws, and making administrative decisions, including the hiring and supervision of personnel. The position has also required working closely with county leadership and state legislators on matters involving statutory interpretation and legislative changes.

This combination of education, executive management, law enforcement, and long-term judicial experience has prepared me well to serve effectively as Bell County Judge.
